Ship Register, 1864-1865
Small book containing handwritten records of ship movements in the ports of Savannah, Ga. and Morehead City, N.C., during the Civil War. Information recorded includes ship name, dates of arrival and departure, and cargo. Also recorded in the volume is information on civilian port employees including names, occupation, dates worked and rate of pay, along with a register of ration returns. Entries by Lt. Edward R. Haight of the 107th Regiment of New York Volunteers.
