- During the 1960’s, manufacturers introduced large, automated photomicroscopes. The Olympus Photomax was introduced in 1969. This instrument was purchased by the Brody School of Medicine in 1979. It was used by Professors Evelyn McNeill and Fred Becker. The original literature and manuals are with it. The Photomas was donated by the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology of the Brody School of Medicine.
