Description
This microscope case has the name, Hurlburt Field, stenciled on both sides of the extremely rugged aluminum case. Hurlburt Field is part of Eglin Air Force Base and is the headquarters of the Special Operations Command. These microscopes were intended for combat field use. The DIN standard optics, dates to after 1980. Swift Optical was not actually a manufacturer of most parts, but imported them from Japan. This microscope has a combination 110/220-volt AC and 12-volt DC power supply.
