Comparison Bridge

Title
Comparison Bridge
Description
This device for viewing half images from two microscopes simultaneously was introduced in the 1920's. It is typically used in forensics for comparing bullets and fibers and in biology for comparing related organisms like diatoms. Goddard and Gravelle used a Zeiss bridge in one of the first applications to associate bullets with the guns that fired them. Two of Goddard's most famous cases were Sacco and Vanzetti in 1921 and the St. Valentine's day massacre in 1929. The serial number is 467.
