Description
Photographs of Barbour Boat Works, Inc. activities, including interior and exterior photos of boat construction, finished boats, and an aerial photo of the shipyard. Identified boats include the trawler Sheela L. (Washington, D.C.), and the tanker Esso Islander Hamilton. The boats were photographed during and after construction. Also includes photos of dredge construction. Barbour Boat Works, Inc., was founded by Herbert William Barbour in 1932 on the Trent River at New Bern, North Carolina. Date approximated.
