Landing "relief" at perilous light published in The Sunday Oregonian. The article describes the Eddystone lighthouse, its construction, and the danger its location presents to those who operate the lighthouse. An image shows the new lighthouse keeper climbing up 25 feet of rope to gain entrance to the lighthouse. The lighthouse located on a rock in the English Channel 13 miles from the mouth of Plymouth harbor and has been destroyed three times previously by storms.
