- Advertisement for Pond's Extract depicting a gold background and a scene in shades of red. To the left is a Japanese lady holding a parasol. There are two fairies, one watering a rose and one reading a book. There is a sign among the flowers with the words: Pond's Extract the Vegetable Pain Destroyer. The reverse of the card states that Pond's Extract is invaluable for sprains, burns, rheumatism, toothache, headache, sore throat, asthma, neuralgia, catarrh, and skin irritations. "Pond's Extract goes right along more firmly settled every year as the Great Family Remedy of the Country!" Aug. Gast & Co., Lith., New York & St. Louis.
