Advertisement for Malt Bitters depicting a cartoon of "The House That Jack Built." Characters include Jack, a lady, preacher, rooster, cow, dog, cat, and mouse. In the center are the words: "Malt Bitters, the purest and best medicine in the world for nourishing and strengthening and for overcoming dyspepsia, debility and wasting diseases. Malt Bitters Company." The reverse of the card states that Malt Bitters is "stimulation without intoxication ... prepared without fermentation or the development of alcohol, from Malt, Hops, Quinine Bark, Pyrophosphate Iron ... It is the perfect Blood, Brain and Nerve Food." It is used for dyspepsia, weak lungs, liver, kidneys, nervousness, sleeplessness, female weakness, exhausted mothers, delicate children, and the aged.
