Folder containing military orders to and from Brigadier General Paul A. Putnam of the United States Marine Corps issued from 1926-1952. The time period covers Putnam's assignments in Nicaragua fighting bandits, his service during World War II during which he was taken a prisoner of war by the Japanese during the Battle of Wake Island, and his time spent at the Air War College in Maxwell, Alabama.
