Fredrick Military0 Baby Bucs 13 Newport News Apprentice 21 BBs 47 Richmond 6. BBs 19 Citadel 19 BBs 21 Chowan Jr. College 0 BBs 69... Greatest group anyone would ever want to be around. The memories are burned in my heart forever. Paul is right. We could be anybody or at least we would fight to the last. Some of my best memories and best team I was ever around even after 41 years of high school coaching. Long live our 66 Baby Bucs

This was my freshmen team at ECU. We were undefeated. Henry Vansant was our coach, along with assistants, Corey McCrae, "Sticks" McFall, Ikey Bullard and one other coach from Davidson. We thought we could beat any team in USA including Alabama. It was a great year of brotherhood and team spirit.

I am the “ other coach from Davidson.” What a group that 1966 freshman team was. Despite many years of coaching since, that is the only undefeated team I have ever coached.

John Williams Oct 10 2015

More importantly, we were undefeated.
