- Video recording of an Edgecombe County Commissioners meeting where the commissioners voted to rezone an area around Kingsboro, N.C. to allow for the future construction of an Iowa Beef Producers pork processing plant. The construction of the plant is opposed by many in the community due to the perceived the negative impact the plant would have on the health of the residents of Kingsboro and the environment despite the creation of jobs and the promise of development for the county. The commissioners provide their reasons for voting to rezone the property, primarily to foster economic development.
