Description
The Grunow Brothers, begun by Julius and William Grunow, was probably the second microscope manufacturing firm in the U.S. In 1863 they moved from New Haven, CT to New York; and in 1874 the firm became J. Grunow. They made the early Riddell binocular microscope and also early inverted microscopes.
