This collection in mainly concerned in two areas: The U.S. Naval Academy (1937-1941) and the USS NORTH CAROLINA (1942-1943). Academy memorandums detail daily routine schedules, room assignments, academy regulations, dance plans, liberty rules, and grade reports. There is a list of class and club officers as well as graduation exercises instructions for 1942 and for postgraduate school (1947). Weyrauch's involvement in various extracurricular activities is reflected in the materials.

Academy manuals include cruise instructions (1938), budget and pay regulations, and an Academy guide. A Battalion Pass Book details Weyrauch's expenditures at the Academy. Other manuals pertain to regimental flag competition, naval service customs, midshipmen's athletic awards instructions, and other miscellaneous items concerning the Naval Academy.

Memorandums from the Navy Department (1942) concern inadvertent disclosures of naval information and censorship of mail. News dispatches from the " USS NORTH CAROLINA Radio Press News" and the " USS NORTH CAROLINA Morning Press" give information about the war effort in other parts of the world, the ship's daily schedules, crossing the line, encouragement from the officers, and the news of the crew's activities. A roster of officers giving duty assignments reflects Weyrauch's assignments to the USS NORTH CAROLINA (March-May, 1943).

Two oversize maps are included. The first map reflects Weyrauch's 1938 practice cruise in the North Atlantic and Europe while the other is a tourist map of Honolulu (1934). A third map in the collection is a harbor chart detailing small boat sailing limits for the approach to the Naval Academy (ca. 1941).
