The collection consists of two pieces of correspondence, an estate sale notice, and a bound volume of newspapers. The correspondence concerns incidences of influenza or "la grippe" in Richmond, VA (January 14, 1907), and tonsillitis and diphtheria in Goldsboro, NC (September 23, 1907). The estate sale notice lists items for sale and includes a new cotton gin, supplies for building a gin house, two bushel barrels of apple brandy, 8,000 shingles, and 30 bushel barrels of plank road dip.
