In this oral history interview, Forrest Foster speaks about his childhood, time as a student and football player at East Carolina, career as a librarian, and family life.


Biographical/historical information

Forrest Foster was born in Rochester, NY on April 30, 1977. He was a member of the East Carolina football team from 1995 to 2000. He graduated from East Carolina University with a B. S. in Communications. He worked in Joyner Library at ECU as a graduate assisant while he pursued a Masters in Library Science from North Carolina Central University. He served as an assistant defense coach and graduate assistant for the ECU football team from 2001 to 2002. He also served as an assistant defense coach for North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University's football team in 2002. He has worked in a number of library positions since 2003. This includes at UNC-Greensboro, Winston-Salem State University, Fayetteville State University, and most recently NC Agricultural and Technical State University as Assistant Dean of Libraries.
