Biographical/historical information

During the early twentieth century, the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company published a series of booklets entitled Health Heroes. The series features biographies of important historic figures in health care. The people featured in this collection are Edward Livingston Trudeau, Louis Pasteur, Edward Jenner, Walter Reed, Florence Nightingale, and Marie Curie; with publication dates ranging from 1920 through 1937.
