The Records of Employees Exempt from the Personnel Act inlcude a file for most employees exempt from the State Personnel Act as defined under the North Carolina General Statute Chapter 126. This includes temporary employees, as well as faculty, senior academic and administrative officers, and certain professional positions involved in instruction, organized research, public service, academic support, student services, and institutional support. EPA files are arranged alphabetically and may include applications for employement, correspondence, resumes or vitae, promotion and demotion documentation, transer information, personnel action forms, salary information, and documentation of termination of employment. EPA files are opened thirty years after an employees separation from or termination of employment at East Carolina University.
