Nowell’s Drug Store was owned and operated by William Robert Nowell and his son William Jr. beginning about 1915. It was located on South Main Street in downtown Wendell, North Carolina. The six-bay front facade faced the Third and Main Street intersection. The store was a local landmark as one of the town's early drugstores and the building also housed a dental office, a physician's office, and had a beauty parlor upstairs.
