September 9, 2008, (unprocessed) 167 items, 1.0 cubic feet; Papers (1886-2003, undated) of the Winslow family of Winfall, North Carolina & the Towe family of Roanoke Rapids, NC, including correspondence, photographic prints, scrapbook & genealogical research materials, & printed materials, including correspondence of Sallie J. Winslow while a student at East Carolina Teachers Training School, Greenville, NC with her future husband, Robert Leslie Towe, an assistant cashier of the First National Bank of Roanoke Rapids, ca. 1915-1918. See preliminary inventory attached. Note: Papers were found in the home of Mrs. George (Sara Crawford) Wood; they were inherited by the donor, who is Mrs. Wood?s daughter, following her death in 2007; and they were received through the courtesy of the donor?s cousin, Dr. Dan Winslow and Mrs. Winslow, in Townsville, NC. Donor: Mrs. Millicent Nash
