February 8, 2011, (unprocessed addition 6), 0.101 cubic feet; Addition includes a print (not on photographic paper) of a 1925 photograph of the CSS Neuse in the Neuse River at Kinston, N.C., with GPS data added by William Rowland in 2003. This photograph is the oldest known photograph of the CSS Neuse. Also included are a CD of electronic drawings by Dunn & Dalton Architects of Kinston of Harmony Hall (also known as Peebles House and Lovick House), the oldest house in Kinston, and printouts of these drawings. They were drawn up as part of a 1963 project conducted by W. E. Friend of the School of Design, North Carolina State College (now University). [Note that Harmony Hall is called Herritage House in this project.] Also included are a 2009 satellite view of the area where the CSS Neuse was found, clippings, and documentation of Civil War projectiles recovered by Rowland from the 2 battles of Kinston. Rowland by Wil King (with additional questions from Jane Phillips and Guy Smith and video provided by Philip Decker) on February 15, 2003. In the interview Mr. Rowland discusses his experiences with locating, documenting and preserving for posterity the CSS Ram NEUSE and other Civil War relics in the Kinston and Lenoir County area.
