Field Artillery, National Guard of the U.S., 1937; his certificate of proficiency from Field Artillery School, Fort Sill, OK, 1941; his commission as a Captain, Field Artillery, in the Army of the U.S., 1941; also a photographic print of Arthur S. "Ott" Alford at his desk as principal of Fountain Elementary School, c. 1930s. Donor: Dannie B. Wooten.
