Description
The school register for 1886-1893 from District #2 of Lenoir County, N.C., provides a monthly account concerning the number of students, their grades, conduct, and daily attendance. It also gives information concerning the age, race, and sex of the students, and provides the names and occupations of their parents or guardians. Also provided are the names and salary of the teachers, the names of the school committee members, and a list of the books used in the classroom.
