An account book (1857-1859, 1882-1890) records the payment and receipt of money for a variety of goods. It also includes an 1859 estimate for the value of six Negroes and the 1890 account of sales for the estate of Hugh Woods.
Also included are a promissory note for $60 (March, 1849) and a letter from a tobacconist in Richmond, Virginia (October, 1866), discussing the price of tobacco and the costs involved in its transportation and sale.
