Flooding fields to battle peat fires

Title
Flooding fields to battle peat fires
Description
Workers using large pumps flood an area of Rich Farms Wednesday afternoon in an effort to contain fires in peat bogs that have resulted from this week's fire that destroyed 95,000 acres of brush and peat in Washington, Hyde, and Tyrrell Counties. The workers are flooding about 300 acres of the farm's 13,000 acres to help extinguish the underground fires.
