Flatland Ag. Inc. was founded in Aurora in 2008. Owner Floyd Peed and sons starting farming onions in the 1990s. To make this a viable crop, they gained assistance from NC State University. Today, their red and yellow onions are shipped to northern states via assistance from L&M Marketing in Raleigh.
