James M. Davis, Jr. discusses how he got interested in genealogy. He was awed by the fact that at your seventh generation back you have 64 grandparents and by the tenth generation back you have 1024 grandparents. He discusses family boat racing, and introduces the family members in which he would start his genealogy.
