Abstract:

Warrenton, named for a hero of Bunker Hill, is rich in history. At one time a farming and education center, it has produced notable citizens, including four governors. Now, through Preservation North Carolina, restoring that past is a force in the community, as many huge Antebellum homes are coming back into use.
