He was the twenty-first pilot in the U.S. to obtain an autogiro license; Jesse Gard transferred to Coast Guard Station at Caffey’s Inlet, near Duck; Frank Miller transferred to Oregon Inlet; Jepp Harris returned to Kill Devil Hills and Norman Etheridge now Captain of the Port of Wilmington, NC.
