Folk story about Polly Poiner, accused of being a witch, who was killed for casting spells and killing the animals of Absolum Clarke, of Trent Woods (Frisco). Clarke was accused of killing Polly and was hung at Lake Landing Court House, Hyde County, NC. It was said Polly Poiner’s land was haunted.
