William Cherry married Laney _____. They had four sons, four daughters, and a grandson. The sons were: Samuel Cherry, Lemuel Cherry, Daniel Cherry, and Darlin Cherry. The daughters were: Peggy Ann Cherry (m. Franklin McGowan); Reseny Cherry (m. Guilford McGowan ); Patience Cherry (m. Isaac Jordan); and Julia Cherry (m. Thomas Williams). The grandson was William I. Cherry.
