Expanding Poultry Industry Creates Need for Hatching Eggs

As the poultry industry in north Carolina has matured and grown, competition for supply has changed. In 1952, North Carolina hatching egg industry produced 60,000,000 baby chicks but will require a supply of over 8 million hatching eggs for 1953 to keep up with supply and demand.
