Abstract:
Duke University’s Robert J. Lefkowitz has been awarded the Nobel Prize. The cardiologist and researcher won the award for his research on the chemical signals the body uses to regulate itself. This has led to the potential to develop new drugs for human diseases that are more targeted and have fewer side effects. Lefkowitz, his research, and his unique personality are highlighted.
