Abstract:

Photographer Burk Uzzle, best known for his iconic images of social upheaval in the 1960s, is a North Carolina native. Born in Raleigh, Uzzle became the youngest photographer ever employed by Life Magazine. His career has taken him all over the world, but now Uzzle focuses on documenting the South and North Carolina in particular.
