These include James Iredell, Sr. and Alfred Moore, both Associate Justices of the U.S. Supreme Court, James C. Dobbin, Secretary of the Navy, and J. Crawford Biggs, Solicitor General of the U.S., appointed by President Franklin D. Roosevelt.
