John Shepperd Strudwick, a native of Hillsboro, is one of the most talented young actors in Hollywood. He acted on Broadway and in summer stock under the name Shepperd, but in Hollywood he goes by his first name. The film that has catapulted him to screen prominence is Belle Starr, with Gene Tierney as his leading lady.
