Education for Drunk Drivers: How Well Has it Worked in North Carolina?

In 1979 the North Carolina General Assembly enacted a law that provided for a statewide program of Alcohol and Drug Education Traffic Schools for offenders convicted of driving under the influence of alcohol or other drugs. This article looks at the effectiveness of this program in preventing the recurrence of drunk driving in the state.
