He states \"that Durham County can well afford to brag about other things besides its tobacco industry and Duke University.\" For example, at Bennett Place General Johnston surrendered all Confederate forces to General Sherman in 1865, and the Judge Duncan Cameron home was built in 1805 and has remained in the family ever since.
