Trustee Commission Proposes Changes in University Board

Abstract:
Governor Dan K. Moore proposed the 1965 General Assembly approve of a commission to study the board of trustees of the University of North Carolina. The commission was composed of nine members, appointed by the governor, lieutenant-governor, and senate membership. These individuals were responsible for reporting on the manner in which Board of Trustee members are appointed for the University of North Carolina.
