LEDs in Public Spaces Save Money, Offer Greater Lighting Efficiency


Abstract:
As utility costs rise, many cities across the state are swapping out traditional mercury-based streetlights for newer, more modern lighting, light emitting diodes (LEDs). The author examines some cities, like Durham and Raleigh, which are making the change.
