Abstract:
\"Street Scene\" was the name of a dramatic musical Broadway show, based on a book by the same title, which showcased two North Carolinian actors Anne Jeffreys and Norman Cordon. The play first ran in Philadelphia before getting an opportunity to run on Broadway, opening January 9, 1947. Jeffreys was a native of Goldsboro who moved to Hollywood where she works for R-K-O Pictures. Cordon hailed from Washington and was a University of North Carolina alumnus.
