Abstract:
The Carolina Dramatic Association, evolved from Frederick H. Koch at Chapel Hill, is responsible for one of the first plays to be written by an American, and performed by a company of American actors. Koch, known affectionately as \"Proff,\" envisioned an extension of Carolina Playmaking to communities of the entire state. This view that has been validated in the past 39 years during annual drama festivals held at Chapel Hill.
