Author(s):
Abstract:
After purchasing an old organ, Don Melvin, a graduate of William and Mary with a degree in fine arts, turned a new hobby into a business repairing and restoring antique organs. Literature or manuals on the trade of organ maintenance and repair are very rare if not non-existent; similarly, craftsmen are hard to come by. Melvin has rebuilt 218 organs and owns twenty in his private collection.
