Abstract:

Britt's Donut Shop is a Carolina Beach landmark. H. L. Britt opened the shop in 1939, and Bobby Nivens, who worked at the business as a teenager, purchased the shop in 1974. He and his wife Maxine have operated the place ever since, turning out a single type of donut, the glazed kind.
