Moore County now has three thriving producers of candles Carolina Soap & Candle Makers and Pinehurst Handmade Soap & Candle, Inc, both located in Southern Pines, and the newest one, Everglades Candle Corporation of Pinehurst. De Nissoff describes the Everglades operation which began in 1966.
