Fieldcrest Mills, Inc., with general offices located in Spray in Rockingham County, is a major producer of quality textiles. The company operates nine mills, with five in the area of Spray, and employs over 6,000 workers. The company's two nationally known brands are Fieldcrest and Karastan. Fieldcrest is the only company in the nation with a complete line of domestic products for bed and bath, including blankets, sheets, bedspreads, towels, and bath rugs.
