On January 1, 1977, a new Wachovia Bank & Trust Company management team assumed office. Because of the significant role each of the four new executives will have in the institution's future operations, We the People of North Carolina prepared individual profiles on each one. They are John G. Medlin, Jr., J. Scott Cramer, John F. McNair, III, and Hans W. Wanders.

Abstract:
After serving North Carolina for nearly fifty years and choosing not to seek reelection, Edwin Gill retired as State Treasurer at the beginning of 1977. To honor his long years of service, North Carolina State University created the Edwin Gill Professorship in Business Management.
