This is a letter from 1925 from Miss E. Leslie Charles, of Darlington, SC, to Fred Olds, of Raleigh, NC, seeking information on the Leslie family. Miss Charles gives a history of the Moye-Leslie family in Pitt County including the Kennedy, Holland, Cherry, Hanrahan, Dyer connections.

William Johnston and William Joyner got into a fight on Jan. 10, 1785 and Johnston beat him up Joyner so bad that he lingered until his death on Jan. 19, 1785.
