A. Buck , of Ballon, GA, is visiting relatives here. In 1896, Harmon Jenkins, of Alabama, is visiting relatives here.

This is a letter from 1925 from Miss E. Leslie Charles, of Darlington, SC, to Fred Olds, of Raleigh, NC, seeking information on the Leslie family. Miss Charles gives a history of the Moye-Leslie family in Pitt County including the Kennedy, Holland, Cherry, Hanrahan, Dyer connections.

In 1893, W. H. Fleming of Pitt County lived in Ft. Worth, TX. In 1895, Ada G. Leggett, dau. of E. G. Leggett, formerly of Greenville, NC, married at Edgefield, SC to I. F. Lanier. In 1896, W. T. Taylor, formerly of Pitt County, but now living in Florida, is visiting. In 1895, B. S. Moore, a Pitt Co. native, but now of Galena, KS, is visiting in Raleigh, NC.

Found in the New Bern District Civil Action Papers, NC Archives. William Johnston and William Joyner got into a fight on Jan. 10, 1785 and Johnston beat him up Joyner so bad that he lingered until his death on Jan. 19, 1785.
