Corporate relocations and expansions will continue to drive growth along with high-tech companies accelerating the job market.

The headquarters of Stewart-Haas Racing draws thousands of visitors to Kannapolis, North Carolina. It was also now be the home of Haas Formula LLC's Haas F1 Team, the first US team to race internationally since 1986. Industry hunters hope Haas F1 will give the world a new view of North Carolina's $6 billion per year racing industry, and open the door for other automotive enterprises.

Dunn, North Carolina-based Godwin Manufacturing Co. Inc., began in Pat Godwin Jr.'s father's garage but now spans over a million square feet in four states. It is the nation's largest family-owned manufacturer of truck bodies, and among the three biggest body-builders in the nation. Products include almost every type of open-truck body including truck mounted snowplows.
