Abstract:
When the Disciples of Christ founded Atlantic Christian College in Wilson in 1902, they started out with two small buildings on a smaller campus, with only a few students. In 1949, the Wilson college has grown with the town, both in size and population.

Socially-conscious investing by colleges is a declining trend. More colleges are investing solely for the purpose of making money whether students agree with the investments or not. Other schools are also favoring riskier investments over traditional low-risk fixed-return bonds.

Abstract:
Faulkner revealed sources for the team names of several well-known colleges across the US. Included were state bird (University of Delaware Blue Hens), a Civil War regimen (Kansas State Jayhawkers), a type of tree (Ohio State Buckeyes), and Native American tribes (Miami University Redskins). The one she discussed the most, though, was the Carolina Tar Heels, offering three explanations for a team name that has also become a nickname for North Carolina.
