Long before drive-thrus and online prescription refills, pharmacies in small town America housed soda fountains, which captured customers of every socioeconomic status. But with the advent of modern amenities like drive-thru restaurants, pharmacy soda fountain business quit booming in the 1960s. However, Fayetteville still boasts two: the Bordeaux Drug Company and Masey Hill Drug Company.
